Recommended desoldering iron: Hakko FR-300

Description

For little touch-ups a manual pump is fine… but for big jobs (like desoldering entire boards), you’ll want to get a serious desoldering iron.  We recommend the FR-300.  It’s certainly not cheap, but it comes with all the parts and pieces you’ll need.
